Born in Hong Kong, I first started to learn free style Chinese painting at the Hong Kong Art Centre
in my native Hong Kong little over a decade ago. After immigrating to Canada in 1999, I dedicated
myself to the study of Chinese paintings. I have taught both children and adults throughout the
Lower Mainland, and have exhibited my paintings at various galleries in Richmond, Port Moody and
Vancouver. Over the past ten years, my interviews appeared on the local paper. Some of my
paintings were selected for publishing in England and advertising on local articles. My free style painting is based on simplicity, speed control and no preliminary sketches. The flora and fauna express the creation of symmetry and asymmetry in nature. My color palette is cool yet sensuous. Bringing untrammeled, compositions designs on the rice paper are the key symbols of my free style approach.
