Tanya works with a variety of mediums but primarily works in traditional media employing classical methods and techniques. Her focus in the studio is Still Life where she can stage-manage her subject matter and work with either natural or manipulated light. She also finds time and takes great joy in painting en plein air at one of the many treasured niches surrounding her Steveston home and wherever many a road trip may lead. Her goal as an artist is to remain committed to the process of learning. Tanya is a Signature (AFCA) member of the Federation of Canadian Artists, as well as a member of the Northwest Watercolor Society, Richmond Artists’ Guild and South Delta Artists’ Guild.Tanya's work has been exhibited in the Lower Mainland at The Federation of Canadian Artists, Richmond Art Gallery, Fraserview Gallery, Gateway Theatre and at The Old Schoolhouse Gallery (Qualicum, BC) and Mercer View Gallery (Seattle, WA).
