Born in 1945 in Saskatchewan, Lee started oil painting at the early age of six. This was interrupted at the age of eight, with the pursuit of musical interests which continued until her late 20's. However, she’d still manage to do some sketching when she had the time.Raising a family and working in the corporate and computer fields superceded even her music interests.
A debilitating accident in 1995 terminated her career, and through determination in spite of her resulting disabilities, she returned to her first loves of art and music. Taking a few courses, she included Interior Design and Landscape Design along with pursuing the challenge of working with acrylics on canvas. Her artistic genre now includes a variety of distinctive and popular decorative art pieces such as hand painted glassware, note cards, as well as her canvasses, etc. In her words “if it doesn’t move, it might get painted!”
As a member of the Community Arts Council of Richmond, her decorative art pieces and canvasses are displayed and sold in the Artisan’s Galleria. Her unique art style is greatly appreciated and sold internationally. She also currently holds the position of Secretary for the Community Arts Council of Richmond.
